RM Solutions has been operating since 2011, providing bespoke maritime and land based security solutions worldwide to global industry supply chains including international shipping, offshore, telecoms, construction and mining.

Since its formation the company has built a robust business infrastructure ensuring that a consistently high standard of service delivery is maintained. RM Solutions has become a trusted provider of global security in the international market place, through investment in its operators, a solid support network, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

The organisation management bring a wealth of knowledge from service in global military forces, accompanied by extensive commercial knowledge and contacts from global business entities. Furthermore, our organisation keep abreast of relevant industry movements and utilise our reliable intelligence sources to assist our clients with their respective business strategies. Our People​

Our personnel are recruited globally through personal recommendation and are required to complete our extensive recruitment and vetting process. Further to this, all personnel receive task specific training to the relevant required standard as a minimum.

Regal Maritime Solutions was founded by former UK Royal Marines bringing with them experience in the maritime security field.

With commercial experience as maritime security officers the founders have a wealth of knowledge about the industry and are well equipped to comply with flag state, Port state and coastal state regulations. Each member of Regal Maritime Solutions global staff bring with them specialist skills in their relevant field including IT, sales, accounting, law, marketing, intelligence and recruitment.

Regal Maritime Solutions maritime security officers are dedicated and dynamic individuals who are a credit to Regal Maritime Solutions family. Every officer is required to successfully complete a rigorous selection process before being considered for employment within the company.

Vessels are tracked and monitored whilst our team are on board a client vessel via daily reports which are received from the Regal Maritime Solutions security team leader. With the wealth of industry expertise and robust infrastructure Regal Maritime Solutions has in place, our clients have peace of mind that their vessel is in safe hands.

Shore Based Support

Through open discussion and detailed risk assessment, any task specific requirements can be achieved to suit the allocated budget and operating environment in a safe and controlled way.

Shore Based Support

Regal Maritime Solutions Head Quarters is based in London, UK. Within this respective office, anti-piracy intelligence is gathered and disseminated, risk assessments are carried out and a solid communication network between clients, vessels and security operatives is maintained.

Overseas Operations

Regal Maritime Solutions utilise an operating hub in Sri Lanka for the organisation of tasks and delivering training to personnel. The establishment is equipped with top facilities, including a fully equipped gym, designated sports area, training classrooms and high speed internet. When on premises, personnel are encouraged to maintain fitness levels through team sports and regular fitness tests as well as complete refresher training to maintain our high company standards.

Regal Maritime Solutions achieves a global reach through strategically placed contacts who maintain professional working relationships with our international client base. Wherever your company headquarters, Regal Maritime Solutions have personnel close by with astute industry knowledge to provide for your company’s security requirements.

Training

RM Solutions demands its security personnel to have achieved a minimum standard of training and qualifications before they can be considered to become part of the RM Solutions family. Once an applicant has successfully completed initial selection, RM Solutions believe that further investment and continuation training for its employees is beneficial to all aspects of the business. This is why Regal Maritime Solutions provide opportunities for a variety of training courses, including refresher training whenever possible.

Operation staff are required to conduct annual refresher training which includes instruction on company Standard Operating Procedures, Rules for the Use of Force, First Aid and Firearms Competency. The majority of our company training is carried out in Sri Lanka on Government owned live firing rifle ranges and in classrooms at RM Solutions HQ Sri Lanka.

HIRING PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Recruitment

RM Solutions security operatives are considered for recruitment into the company through personal recommendation and after a rigorous initial assessment of basic skills and background is made.

Each applicant must meet the following criteria as a minimum before they can be considered for operational deployment:

  • Proof Military service history in their native marine corps
  • CV including relevant skills for Maritime Security role
  • Aged between 21 and 50
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Proof of Commendable Military Service
  • Military Discharge Certificate
  • SSO Certificate
  • STCW95 (All four modules)
  • Weapons Competency Certificate (Received within the last year, showing use of 7.62 semi-auto weapon, shot at a distance of at least 300m, with clear scoring on the certificate)
  • Passport (with at least one year’s validity remaining)
  • Passport Size Photo in JPEG format
  • Seaman’s Book (with at least one year’s validity remaining)
  • ENG1 Seafarer’s Medical or equivalent
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
  • Psychometric Test
  • Drug and Alcohol Test
  • 2 References from previous employers in relevant fields
  • Medical Training Certificate (Such as Tactical Combat Casualty Care Rescue, First Person on Scene or Basic Trauma Medical Certificate)

Successful applicants will be interviewed to establish whether they are suitable to join the Regal Maritime Solutions family.

The final stage will involve reading and studying RMS SOP’s, RUF’s, BMP4 Guidelines, Company Policies and Compliance Documents. The applicant will be tested on their knowledge by taking a number of RMS assessments.

Compliance

RM Solutions operate in line with a formal quality management system and has extensive knowledge and experience of the requirements for operating legally in countries worldwide with firearms. The company has worked to obtain agreements to provide services on board vessels under the jurisdiction of many flag states.
